In case you missed it, we’ve talked about SketchUp’s free 3D design software SketchUp make before. it is a nice alternative for people who are longing for an alternate to CAD software but don’t need to pay cash on professional tools yet.

 

For on-the-go and on-the-fly 3D modeling, however, SketchUp’s other free software is even better. Since it’s all browser-based, you can work on your designs from virtually anywhere!

My.SketchUp is that the browser version of SketchUp’s 3D modeling software. impressively, although it’s all web-based, that means there is nothing to install, it still shares many features and functions of its desktop software counterpart.

 

Like SketchUp’s other software offerings, My.SketchUp has the same intuitive push-and-pull system for sculpting your 3D creations. though there is a slight learning curve, once you get the hang of it, you will be designing 3D pictures in no time.

 

As a web-based tool, another big advantage of my.SketchUp is that this – you can launch it on your smartphone or tablet’s web browser and use its touchscreen to sculpt on the go. you can drag, draw, rotate, stretch, color – something you could possibly do on a desktop, but with your fingers instead.

 

Note: to save your work, you will need to register for a free SketchUp account using your email or Google account.

 

 

Currently, My.SketchUp is still in beta preview mode but if you are looking for a simpler alternative to SketchUp professional you can combat the go, it’s well worth trying.

 

Like with SketchUp pro and SketchUp make, you can also upload and modify 3D designs from SketchUp’s 3D Warehouse.
