At San Diego Comic-Con, MGM declared that it was launching a new Stargate streaming service known as Stargate Command, and that it’d be making an original show for the service. At Stan Lee’s los angeles Comic Con, the studio teased our 1st look at the upcoming show.
Stargate Origins are a prequel to the original film and followup television franchise. This two-minute featurette shows off the 1st week of production, with alittle tent city and offices for a young Catherine Langford (played by Ellie Gall).
There’s no real hint on what the show are about, other than that it’ll have some action in a desert environment. The show is expected to launch sometime before the end of 2017 on Stargate Command, and from this early glimpse, it looks as though it’ll stand alongside its predecessors, Stargate SG-1, atlantis and Universe.
